General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems Munitions Services has extensive knowledge and experience in a wide variety of munitions demilitarization technologies, such as: small, medium and large Caliber ammunition, grenades and mines, cluster munitions and submunitions, bombs, missiles, pyrotechnics and illumination devices.

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems Munition Services is a world-wide leader in Cluster Munition Demil. We are the only US company experienced with automated disposal of Cluster Munitions. We operate the only commercial submunitions demilitarization facility and explosives waste incinerator in the United States.
Rocket
Motors
General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems Munition Services has safely dissembled and destroyed more than 74,000 MLRS rocket motors in a specially designed thermal treatment system. GD-OTS MS also has the capability to provide disposal of small rocket motors by underwater sawing of the motors and incineration of the motor segments and propellant in our Rotary Kiln Incinerator (RKI).
HE
Munitions
High Explosive (HE)
General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems Munition Services can demilitarize and destroy filled munitions of all types up to 15 pounds NEW at our Joplin facilities. Munitions can be disassembled or sawed underwater to access the explosive filler which can then be incinerated in our Rotary Kiln Incinerator (RKI).
PEP
Filled
Non-High Explosive (HE)
General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems Munition Services can demilitarize and destroy munitions containing other than High Explosive (HE) fillers in our Rotary Kiln Incinerator (RKI). If the energetic fillers, such as pyrotechnic materials are too large to be fed to the RKI, they can be disassembled or sawed under water to access or reduce the quantity and size of materials to allow it to be fed to the RKI for disposal.
